April Ruggiano

April Ruggiano is a board-certified Physician Assistant dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive psychiatric care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University on an athletic scholarship, demonstrating both academic dedication and personal discipline early in her career.

After working in healthcare for three years, April pursued her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. During her training, she completed her psychiatric rotation at the Prevention and Recovery Center in Houston, where she developed a strong passion for mental health care and a commitment to supporting patients through their mental health journeys.

April focuses on creating a supportive and individualized treatment experience for each patient. She believes in a collaborative approach to care that emphasizes understanding, trust, and evidence-based treatment to help patients achieve long-term mental wellness.

Outside of her professional work, April enjoys spending time with her two daughters, playing the piano, and being outdoors.
