Dr. Bharath Raj, M.D.

Dr. Raj is a board certified Psychiatrist. During his residency training in Psychiatry at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Dr. Raj gained a vast amount of experience in treating patients with a wide range of complex psychiatric disorders at Loyola University Hospital, Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, and John J. Madden Mental Health Center. Before going into private practice, Dr. Raj was an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine. As a teaching faculty, in addition to providing outpatient psychiatric care, Dr. Raj was actively involved in educating and supervising psychiatry residents and primary care doctors.

Dr. Raj has outstanding expertise in implementing comprehensive psychiatric services through his years of experience providing inpatient psychiatric care and his leadership experiences as the Director of Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Kingwood Pines Hospital and the Director of Intake at Houston Behavioral Health. Dr. Raj also served as the Chief of Staff as well as the Medical Director at Kingwood Pines Hospital between 2015 to 2020. His current practice at Holistic Psychiatry focuses on providing evidence-based and high quality personalized outpatient mental health care to patients from diverse backgrounds. In recent years, Dr. Raj and his team have strived to bring cutting edge advancements such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine treatment to their patients with medication-resistant depression and other psychiatric illnesses.
